Create Tests using the Test Authoring Tool
The Authoring Tool allows you to create tests, with ease and speed using a WYSIWYG interface (what you see is what you get).

Key Features
- 3 Flexible Question Templates:
- Multiple Choice - Up to 10 alternative answers per question and up to 9 correct answers. With optional shuffle control.
- Written Answer - Up to 10 possible answer variations with fuzzy matching facility. With option case sensitivity
- Word Sorting - Up to 10 words or phrases that the student has to drag and drop to rank in the correct order. With optional shuffle control.
- Information Pages Pages without questions, useful for instructions or giving information.
- Multimedia Clips Add images, sound clips, animations, video clips and external resources such as Powerpoint Presentations, Word Documents, Excel Spreadsheets or Adobe Acrobat Documents.
- Text formatting A text formatting palette allows you to select text and change the font size, colour, style (underline, bold and italic), subscript and superscript.
- Specialist Symbols and Characters Easily insert scientific, foreign or artistic symbols.
- Hyperlink Add hyperlink's to words or phrases that open web pages on the Internet. Simply select the text and enter a web address.
- Feedback / Explanations Add feedback or explanations to questions that are automatically displayed during test reviews.
- Question Weighting Questions can be assigned marks to reflect difficulty.
- Grades and Comments Add up to seven grades or comments to percentage mark bands.
- Time Limit Set a time limit for the test.
- Font Size Set a default font size for the whole test.
- Colours Change the appearance of the test by changing the background and foreground colours.
- Category and Subject Classification Categorise tests so users can browse and search.
- Keywords Add keywords and meta tags for the integrated test search engine.
- Test Status Options Tests can be set to one of three status modes:
- Public The test will be available to all users using the Revision Library where users can browse for tests rather than take set tests.
- Shared The test will be available to E-Class Administrators to import into their own E-Classes.
- Secure The test is will not be available to anybody other than candidates you set the test for in your own E-Classes.
